Class Discussions
This is a discussion-heavy course. A majority of your daily grade each six weeks is based on your participation in our daily discussions. While you are not expected to speak EVERY day, you should be contributing at some point every week. Keep in mind that coming prepared and being an engaged listener are as important as constantly offering your opinion.
During discussions we expect that you:
You will have the opportunity to reflect on and explain your participation at the end of each week as part of your participation grade.
During discussions we expect that you:
- engage in respectful discourse
- engage with each other (not just your instructor)
- listen and take notes as others speak
- are not doing other work
You will have the opportunity to reflect on and explain your participation at the end of each week as part of your participation grade.
