When you sit down to talk to me individually, below are the questions I might ask you. Our conversation will count as a major grade and I will assess you based on how faithfully you have kept a notebook this 6 weeks AND your preparedness and your willingness to show me your notebook as evidence for your answers!
1. What are the trends/patterns in HOW you write in your notebook? Think about messiness/neatness. Do you doodle or draw? When/where do you write outside of class? Do you need silence or like to listen to music?
2. What are the trends/themes in WHAT you write in your notebook? Is it a journal of daily events or something else? Do you write about the same frustration/fear/person/situation a lot? If so, how does writing about it affect/help you?
3. What strategies from the first 6 weeks have you adopted into your regular practice of keeping a notebook?
4. If someone else read all the entries what kind of person would they say you are?
