We ask that you conduct yourself at all times in the class with academic and intellectual integrity. The honor code is posted at the front of the room and printed below to remind you and you must write and sign the honor code on all major assignments which are turned in for a grade (unless otherwise noted).
Plagiarism and cheating incorporate two ethical infractions: stealing and lying. Consequences include a zero on the assignment, without the possibility of make-up work, a parent conference or contact, and a LASA office referral.

We will be utilizing Turnitin.com for writing assignments. This software scans student work against the Internet and other student-submitted writing to check for plagiarism. .All major writing assignments MUST be submitted to Turnitin.com to receive credit. Everyone will be given the Turnitin.com class number and password from your instructor. If you need them, instructions on setting up an account and submitting papers can be provided.
To enroll in the class you'll need from your teacher the class id and password!

- Select “cut & paste upload” from the “choose a paper submission method:” pull down menu.
- Fill in the relevant fields for the submission (eg. name and title).
- Copy and paste the section of text you would like to submit in the large “cut & paste your paper:” field.
- Click "upload".

- Click on the title of the Class you wish to submit to.

- Choose Single File Upload.
- Enter your Title of your paper.
- Click on "browse" to locate the paper saved to your computer.
- Click on the file and click "open".
- Click the "upload" button at the bottom.
- STOP, and WAIT for the next page to appear.
- Click "submit" to confirm your submission.
